Stonehenge Goes to Eleven

It appears we’ve been around long enough for the pop culture references to reference themselves. Stonehenge, the mass audition for film and video, will have its eleventh edition on Sunday, June 6th in Baltimore. Registration for both actors and filmmakers is open now.

Once again, we are at the Creative Alliance’s most excellent digs at the Patterson in Baltimore. For first-time attendees and even folks who haven’t attended Stonehenge in the past year or so, please check out the information and FAQ for actors or filmmakers–depending on whether you’re auditioning or watching the auditions respectively.

We’ll be highlighting some specific topics filmmakers and actors in the next few weeks. In the meantime, remember: registration for actors ends May 22nd–and while registration for filmmakers lasts until June 2nd, the price doubles on May 21st. Don’t delay.

Stonehenge X Registration is Open!

In case you haven’t ambled over to our Stonehenge section, Stonehenge registration is now open for filmmakers and actors. The event goes down on Sunday, March 28 at a brand new location in Washington, DC: CDIA in Georgetown.

Of course, as often happens, we’ve updated some of the FAQs for both Actors and Filmmakers–including a new video release for those actors that want us to tape them at this event.

Remember, there are no walk-ins for either actors or filmmakers. Everyone needs to register beforehand. So if you know any actors who might be interested, they have until Saturday 3/13 to register. Filmmakers have until 3/24 to register, but their price to attend doubles on Friday, 3/12. Let your friends know!

Filmmaker Registration Closed, Headshot number is 24

Filmmaker registration for Stonehenge IX has closed. Close to 50 filmmakers from about 19 different production companies will be attending.

The second confirmation for actors will be sent out tomorrow (Thursday) with adjustments made for cancellations. However, we can tell you already that the “magic” number of headshots is 24.

We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

Last Chance to Register for Stonehenge IX!

It’s crunch time for Stonehenge.

About 26 filmmakers have signed up, but we still have space left for additional production companies. If you’re looking for new talent or to build your acting roster for future productions, you’ll have an opportunity to see over 100 actors of all types, union and nonunion, throughout the day.

All-important details about the event and required registration is online at http:/www.goteamj.com/stonehenge.html. Registration will be open until 6pm Wednesday, 9/9.

Independent filmmakers, casting directors, and production companies, have all used Stonehenge–and they’ve told us of over 400 roles cast in over 95 projects from actors seen in the first eight henges. We’d love it to work for you.

Discounts are available for members of CAmm, WIFV (DC), and WIFV-MD.

We look forward to seeing you at the henge!

Actor Registration Open for Stonehenge IX

For all those peeps who have been waiting (and we do understand there have been some people waiting), Stonehenge registration is open for actors.

As always, we suggest actors check out the exhaustive FAQ for answers to all sorts of questions.

For actors interested in attending this latest Stonehenge, we encourage you to register sooner rather than later before you forget. Actor registration has a hard stop at 6pm on Saturday, August 29. And although audition slots are assigned by lottery, you have better odds of getting a slot than any game of chance out there.

Let us explain: in addition to the 120 guaranteed slots, there’s 72 standby slots PLUS a waitlist. (we won’t say how many people will be on the waitlist, but it’s double digits, and it’s a prime number because, well, we like prime numbers). Suffice to say it’s more than 200 spaces and on average, 300 of you register.

200+ openings for 300-some actors is good, but it gets better.

This past Stonehenge, every single actor on the waitlist got an actual audition slot. Moreover, at the event, every single actor, guaranteed or standby, who wanted to audition, auditioned. We’re not saying this will happen this time, but this is how is does happen:  actors, such as yourselves, are conscientious and email us before the event and cancel. Life happens and every Stonehenge, actors have to cancel for good reasons (a paying gig) and bad (horribly sick). Whenever someone cancels, space opens up. It’s karma at work.

Again, 200+ spaces for the 300 actors who register on average.

We look forward to seeing you at the Henge!

Stonehenge IX Filmmaker Registration is Open!

If you pop on over to the Registration page, you’ll see that Filmmaker registration is now open for Stonehenge IX, set for September 13th in Baltimore, MD.

Discounts are available for members of the Creative Alliance/CAmm, WIFV (DC), and WIFV-MD.

It’s $25 until Friday, August 28th (or $20 with the discount). After that, the registration fee doubles.

Due to the packed house for Stonehenge VIII, we will be rearranging the seating, however, there is the possibility the seats for filmmakers will fill up, so register early!

Stonehenge Registration Breaks Speed Record

Last night, 120 actors registered within the first eight minutes, taking all the guaranteed audition spaces. Previously, it took closer to five hours to fill all the guaranteed spaces. This is an astounding difference. Now while we like actors to be punctual, expecting them to have the reflexes of a web-trained cheetah is a bit silly. Therefore, we may be re-examining our longstanding first-come, first-served registration policy for future henges.

For those diligent actors who registered around 6:15pm, now you know why you have a standby space.

Registration officially closed at 9:30pm last night. Actor confirmations for the standby spaces and for the waiting list are still being processed and sent out. If you registered by 9:30pm, you will receive a confirmation before Tuesday.
